Post Words of Encouragement To the CAC Board and Staff
on: December 12, 2011, 16:55

Hi. Many of you know me. I’m the webmaster for the CAC. I have a contract with the CAC to maintain their website. As such I am neither officially a board member or a staff member of the CAC, though both have welcomed me as if I were. Anyway in my role as webmaster, I have been privileged to sit in on the CAC board meetings and encouraged to participate and offer my input.

As an outsider of sorts, I would just like to say how impressed I am with the council. I have served on other boards and committees where, back-biting, hidden agendas and mistrust were the rule of thumb, but that is not the case with the CAC. There is a genuine attitude of trust, encouragement, and support among the board members and staff. There are differences of opinions at times, to be sure, but they are presented respectfully and openly, and the board works hard to hear everyone and reach a consensus. With the recent budget cuts I expected a lot of moaning, groaning and complaining, but instead if anything the board seems even more determined to pull together and make it through these tough times and come out even stronger than before.

Anyway, Just want to say to the Board and staff, keep up the good work, you’re doing great!

Sincerely,
Mike

PS: Feel free to add your own words of encouragement!
